Evangelism Services
Since its formation Kingdom Vision Ministries’ (KVM) programs have consisted of annual women’s and men’s empowerment conferences. The conference activities are specifically related to that part of the organization’s purpose to provide spiritual support to the community. The conference is not targeted for a specific denomination or tradition of Christian faith, thus it includes the entire community regardless of tradition. The conferences are dedicated to empowering persons of faith to lead productive lives within their communities, promote good health, and enhance spiritual growth. KVM provides workshops, panels, and individual presentations on spirituality, prayer, health, Christian education and community growth. KVM includes a medical doctor in each conference to provide information, education, and limited testing for common health problems e.g. diabetes, hypertension, and other heart-related diseases. KVM offers these workshops to build a cadre of persons who are willing to work in their communities to provide service where it is needed in these and other critical areas. To date, KVM has conducted these conferences for men and women over age eighteen. A special focus of the women’s conference has been spiritual workshops designed to empower women in ministry and a main emphasis of the men’s conference has been mentoring for young men, fathers, and positive male role models.
KVM will hold its first annual youth explosion for calendar year 2011; the spiritual focus will be very similar to that of the conferences for adults, except that more youth under age 18 will be involved in conference planning and execution. Because the conferences that KVM has held to date have been largely staffed by volunteers, we do not anticipate making a change in this model in the near future. Conference planning activities are a major way to get people invested in the success of the event, to increase participant interest, and tend to bring the community together allowing individuals to work together toward a common goal, “making our community a better place.”
